Daisy crazy!

Hi!

So my exams are finally over!! 🎉🎉
I just have my work placement to do and then I am free for the summer!

Things have been crazy, revising, doing work and juggling all my other commitments so hopefully now I'll be able pay a bit more attention to my blog :)

The sun is shining today which means I can finally wear some of my new summer purchases!!

Here's my outfit of the day...
I know I've got the sunglasses on in doors but I just wanted to show them off because they are so sassy! ;)

So the skirt I love! It's very nearly a skater style but it's nice and floaty and so doesn't stick out at the hips. I'm in love with daisies at the moment so the print speaks for itself, plus it goes with my accessorise necklace :) The skirt is from forever 21 (my fave shop!) and was only £12.75 which I think is a steal.
The shirt (also from forever 21) and vest (NewLook) I've had a while but I think they go together pretty well :)

Now these sunglasses! I have a weakness when it comes to sunglasses and the more interesting the better. These Jeepers Peepers from Asos I adore! They were reduced in the sale too :)

So yeah :) that's my OOTD. What prints are you looking out for this summer? Are you waiting for warmer weather to wear something you've had tucked away? Let me know :) I love reading your comments.

Vintage florals 🌸

Hi guys,

I'm half way through my end of year exam at university at the moment so I haven't had very much time to blog.
But after our second exam me and my house mates decided a trip into town was a good way to reward ourselves for making it to the half way mark :)

We found this super cute vintage shop in chester town center called lily vintage and we must have spent a good hour in there having a root around.

I found a really cute tweed blazer but oh my days it was tiny! I was gutted! It was only £10 too! But instead I found this adorable floral playsuit :D
I love the print on it and it's chunky buttons. The fit is really flattering too considering how tiny everything in the shop was.

I love it :) and at £22 I don't think that's too bad really.

I also painted my nails using my models own goodies from the 6for20 deal.

This time I used magpie and the floral sticky fingers :) I'll say it again, so impressed with these polishes! I've put at top coat over the stickers this time so hopefully they will last a bit longer.

So what do you think?
Anyone else using a bit of retail therapy to get through exam season?

Models Own Haul!

Hi guys!

I don't know if you have seen but models own have a great deal on at the minute with 6 for £20 on their polishes! And with most of them usually costing £5-£6 this means you get two free :) I couldn't pass up on a deal like that.

They also have two new collections out; sticky fingers and the speckled egg collection. So I was defiantly sold with this offer!

I purchased the sweet candy and pastel petal sticky fingers polishes, and swan, goose, dove, and magpie from the speckled egg collection. And as with all my models own orders they came super quick.

I love pastel shades and anything that's a bit different, so the speckled egg collection is right up my street. I'm loving the colours and I was surprised how well they came out, I only used two coats of the dove polish in the picture above.

The sticky fingers polishes are usually £6 and you get some cute little nail art stickers with your polish. However only certain colours come with different sticker sets, which could be a bummer if you already have the shades in your collection. But I love nail art and these looked pretty quick and easy so I though why not!

And they are really quick and simple to use BUT my slight OCD almost sent me into a melt down when I opened the sticker sheet to find that there weren't pairs of most of the stickers!! 😫 I must have spent a good 20 minutes looking at them to make sure I was wrong.

There are some exact pairs, and some similar looking pairs. If you can live with that sort of chaos then you'd love them ;)

My stickers didn't last very long but I didn't use a top coat as suggested (I was home from uni with minimal supplies) but I still really like them. They are ideal for quick and cute nail art which is what I need right now, mid exam season.

Overall I'm really happy with my little treat to myself :) once again model own have impressed me.

So what do you think? Did any of you make the most of the 6for20 deal? :)

Accessorize goodies!

Hi!

As I've already mentioned, I worked in accessorize for a few months covering maternity leave. I loved it there! The staff were lovely and hopefully if more hours come up they will have me back :)

The chain is huge on customer service which I adore! There is nothing worse than walking into a store and being greeted by staff that look entirely sick of their lives. I cant express how much I loved working there, I got to tidy bags and jewellery which for a slightly OCD sparkle fanatic is just heaven!

Needless to say I couldn't resist a few purchases while I was there 🙊 haha!

I love doubling up on necklaces now! I'd never thought to do it before but now I do it pretty much everyday. I like to combine a nice statement necklace with something a bit simpler ( ^ as on the top left of this pic ^ ).

I treated myself to a few goodies for my
holiday this year. The lace tabbard is a lush piece of beach wear, but it looks really nice over a black strappy vest with black leggings or skinnies :)
(The silky scarf goes really well with a bright yellow top I brought from river island too).

When my contract ended, I had a little spending spree just to keep me going ;) needless to say I won't need to buy any jewellery in a hurry :) I love accessorize, their products are gorgeous.

It's Been A While ...

Hi!

I have completely neglected my blog this year! Things have been so mad at university, it has just been go go go since September. I really want to get back on track with my blogging though (+ I have so many goodie to share!). So I'll give you the low down on what I've been up to before I get back into this :)

Since September I've really been enjoying University, it's much better being at Chester than last year in Nantwich. I'm part of the women's rugby, equestrian, and pole fitness societies, which take up a lot of my free time.
I've worked maternity cover in Accessorize until February (purchased plenty of goodies from there). And now I'm getting ready to sit my exams before I start my summer!

I've decided that I am going to have two blogs; one for all things girly :) nails, clothes, jewellery and what not, and the second for more personal things such as my work placements and animal related trips :)
So you'll see I've added page tabs for both of my blogs :) please follow both (if I don't bore you to death that is ;) )
Some posts might pop up on both (like this one) and some might just be added to one page. I'm new to this fiddley stuff so we will see how it goes!

I'm really going to try and keep this as updated as possible now :) but please bare with we, it is exam season so things are about to go crazy.

I have got a few posts lined up though :D including a Models Own haul, and some zoo stuff that I've been up to :)

I'll keep you posted ;)

Summer haul!

Hi guys

Hope your all having a nice summer :) making the most of the weather!

I need to start making more time for my blog, I do neglect it a lot! Mainly because I don't really go shopping that often now I'm relying on my student loan, so I have nothing really to show you....BUT I went shopping in Birmingham the other day with my mom because it was her birthday and OMG I spent wayy to much money!
Here's a snippet of what I picked up :)

I picked up a few bargains in newlook! I love these statement necklaces and I've wanted one for a while so when I saw this on sale I snapped it up. I'm really happy with these pieces :) the chunky bracelet goes great with the necklace and its ideal for evening outfits, but it's lightweight too so it's ok to wear in this weather! :)

I spent a small fortune in forever 21 (my all time favourite shop) but my favourite item from there is this dress! I'm a sucker for animal print, and I'm really into pastel shades at the minute so I was instantly drawn to this. The pattern combines everything I love, animal print, floral and pastels! I really like the high-lo style too (I've got many skirts like this, it gives you a bit more coverage but still shows a bit of leg ;) ) It's like they knew all my favourite things and combined it all into one item for a very modest £25.75!

The shoes in the picture I picked up from newlook in the sale reduced to £12!! And they are so comfy. I wore them for a night out the weekend and managed to last all night without my feet screaming at me :) very happy with them!

Sooo what do you think?
Have you picked up any summer bargains?
I have more pics to come :)

Oh one last thing! I've had a bit of a clear out and put a few things on eBay if you want to check it out :) http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/11amyjane93/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

Like Cute? Like Animals? Check this out....

Hi guys!

As you may have read I've been fundraising to go volunteer in Africa! I am hopefully still going to be going, but due to funds I may have to put it on hold for a few years, but when I do go I may be able to stay longer :)
Anyway I'm selling a load of stuff on eBay so if you like cute and animals check it out :D
I'm selling Framed Animal Posters, of some photos that I have taken myself :)

I've got lots of Animal Themed Bracelets....
if you see any you like but want to switch things around such as different beads, coloured bracelets and such, drop me an email, amydavies93@hotmail.com or comment on my facebook group "Amy's Africa Fund", and I should be able to sort it out for you :)

All the money from these sales are going towards my volunteer work, which I will keep you posted on :)
I'm also hoping to make a few arts & crafts type gifts over the summer (when I'm free from Uni work) so expect to see more from me :P

Let me know what you think :)

Brat & Suzie Love!!

Hi guys,

I know I've been a bit quiet lately, sorry, its exam season, I've got my head in the books.

Due to exam stress, I thought I would treat myself to a few items from Brat and Suzie. Their clothes are super cute, with really quirky animal designs, and they are reasonably priced too.

Giraffe Vest

Their website has a few sale items at the minute (which I may have just purchased :P) and a discount code "sunshine" for £5 off :D
What more of an excuse could you need?

I found Brat and Suzie on facebook and fell in love with their stuff straight away. I love clothes and I love animals, so what's not to love :)

I ordered my first top from ASOS with my student discount, and I couldn't be happier with it. The material is so nice, almost silky, and it fits really well too.

Here's me sporting my new top with my pooch
(who I had to bribe with ham to sit for this pic)

So what do you think?

Also I'd just like to add, I'm still fundraising for my volunteer placements so I have added a few more items to ebay if you fancy a peek

I also have a facebook page now - Amy's Africa Fund.
Feel free to have a nosey :D

Missguided mayhem!

Hi guys,

I have had the worst online shopping experience with missguided.co.uk, so I am writing this blog to warn you all and vent my frustration.
It was my first order from missguided, I'd always seen positive posts on twitter and heard they had a good range of dresses so for my birthday my boyfriend treated my to two really nice dresses. I ordered them either the Tuesday 15th of January with next day delivery (which was a right price). As I ordered them in the evening I thought the dresses might not arrive until the Thursday, which was fine as I'd planned to wear them on the Saturday. But no, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, still no dresses. So I had to spend the whole of Saturday racing round town trying to find something to wear, as I'd left all my nice clothes at uni.

This was disappointing enough but when my dresses were finally delivered, Monday morning, no one was in so a notice was posted through the door claiming the delivery was in a 'safe place'.  A safe place yes, with a neighbour maybe? No no, on my OPEN driveway, which is opposite a park where kids play, underneath my dads motor bike! Needless to say the delivery was not there when I went to retrieve it. My area isn't the nicest, if its not nailed down it will get up an wonder away.

I was sooo annoyed. We spent the first couple of days ringing the number on the package, spending hours n hours trying to get through.

We emailed missguided explaining what had happened and asked for a refund as I no longer needed to dresses after having to go out and replace them. They replied a few days later saying they would have to investigate the matter, over THREE WEEKS! Oh and that they dont have a number to call :/ Ohhhh so annoying.

Well a few weeks later they replied saying that they believed the delivery was left in a safe place and they would only issue me with a credit note -.- If it was up to me I wouldn't order another thing from that damned site.

I only had until April to use the money so I finally ordered a pair of jeans. When they arrived I found that the zipper was broken -.- so I emailed them about a return. It took a few days to get a reply but they sent me a Freepost label so I went out the same day to return the item. I posted them on the 26th of march. I was told that I would be emailed as soon as they received my package.

7 days later still no email. So I checked the tracking status, delivered. So I emailed them again asking what was going on and they said they MAY have had my package but it could take up to 15 days to process it. Erghh!

It's so frustrating. It's not just all this but every email goes to a different person, so it's like they couldn't careless. Its been a massive faff from start to finish.

They spend all day long retweeting 'happy' customers with their pretty dresses and what not, but when I tweet them with my concerns, several times, I was ignored.

If I do ever receive my jeans this will be the one and only item from missguided as they are appalling.

So just a little warning to you all, if you have had any issues like this I'd like to hear them.

Xx

Easter Nails!

Hi guys,

My blogs aren't really the same as they used to be, I don't have as much time to paint my nails and experiment with makeup anymore, and as I work with animals alot of the time, its often not worth it haha! So my blogs will be little snippets of my life now rather than just nail art. Hopefully you guys will still find what I write interesting :)

But I've broke up for easter now, for three weeks!! If only the weather was like it was last year :| Anyways, in between work, catching up on some z's, and selling anything i can get my hands on on ebay, I have managed to do a bit of nail art! :)

Here's what I did for easter :D

I used Models Own for the base colours and the white details, and Barry M white crackle on the thumb :)
The bunnies were sooo hard to do on my right hand! I managed it but they weren't quite as crisp as these haha!
Cute huh? Leave a comment and let me know what you think :)
I'm hoping to do a few more when I have some spare time :) so watch this space!

Also, like I mentioned the weather hasn't been great. Its sending me round the bend so who knows how all the wildlife feels. Today I saw a fox just sitting in next doors garden, enjoying the peace and quiet :)

As its spring now I'm wondering if maybe there are a couple of cubs in the over grown garden :D going to keep my eyes peeled from now on! I'll keep you all posted :)

Finally... I'll be listing a lot of stuff on ebay this weekend, books, purses, maybe some clothes and maybe some bracelets :D so feel free to have a browse :) I've got to do a work placement next year so I'm trying to raise some money towards it :) every little helps.

I look forward to hearing from you :)

And They're Up!! eBay a Go-Go!!

Hi guys!

Finally got a couple of bracelets up on eBay! I've just put the two on for a trail run (+ I'm running low on bracelets as all the family have been buying them :D )

http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/11amyjane93

This listing is for 10 days, so hopefully after that the rest of my beads and bracelets will have arrived  and I can really get the ball rolling!

Feel free to have a browse :)
All the money for these bracelets is going towards me volunteering at Moholoholo wildlife rehabilitation centre in Africa, where I will be helping to look after orphaned or injured animals. So its all for a good cause!

Please feel free to mention my ebay page on your own blogs as it would really help me out if you spread the word. (I'll do a thank you blog for all of those who do).

Any comments or advice is always appreciated :D
Thanks

First Sale! One Step Closer...

Hi guys,

I've sold my first bracelets :D just to family and friends but I'm so excited because it means I'm a little closer to Africa! My two sisters, my nan and my cousin have each brought a bracelet :)

Here are some examples of finished bracelets....

I am waiting for more beads to finish the dog theme and reptile theme bracelet :) because of Chinese new year, the deliveries have slowed down but some smaller bracelets arrived today so hopefully it will pick up again. The smaller ones are more suited for kiddies or people with tiny wrists haha!

The ones with less beads will be a little cheaper. My nan and cousin had double the beads on theirs so they offered to pay the extra which was nice :) All the money for these bracelets will go straight into my Africa fund. As soon as there is a free fees weekend on ebay these little beauties will go up and you guys will be the first to know :)

hope you like them :D

The charms that have arrived so far are silver paws, elephants, tortoise, and fish, aswell as some red tiger print beads and some luminous ones that are very cool!

The luminous ones have to be put in sunlight for them to glow, but when they do, THEY ARE SO COOL! I'm so excited to get these going. I've got lots more stuff on the way, but a lot of it is coming from out of the country, so I'm hoping to have them all but about February half term! Merry Christmas To All!!

Hi guys!
Hope you all had a fab christmas :) I know I did :)

Thought I'd share some of my christmas nail art with you all.

The first one is a quick mani I did for my sister. She already had the pink polish on so I just painted over the top.
I painted white on the ring finger and limited edition barry m blue on the little finger and index finger and topped it with the barry m limited edition glitter (they were 3 for 2 in superdrug).
I added silver and pink glitter to the tips of the pink nails.
On the white nail I used different shades of blue pink and green to create little dots in the shape of a christmas tree :)
A quick cute christmas mani :)

The second I painted on my moms nails. I used a shimmery cream for the base coat. I used a red and green Models Own glitters for the tips.
On the ring finger I painted a christmas wreath. I used a dark green and then a slightly lighter shade on top to create the wreath. I then used a red shade to add the details and bow.
I used the same colours to create the two small wreaths on the thumb.

Hope you like them :)
And Merry Christmas!!

Twit Twoooohh

Hi guys :)
Thought I'd do a quick nail art post seen as how I've been quiet for a while :)

I have a minor obsession with owls at the minute. I loveeee them :) anything owl related distracts me, so what better opportunity for some nail art inspiration!

I used a nude vase colour and some gold glitter for the edges of my nails. On my ring finger I used nail art paints to paint the owl, starting with a dark brown then adding the details. I also painted a gold feather on the thumb nail :)

Let me know what you think!

Everyone Loves A Freebie!!

Who would say no to a free O.P.I nail varnish? Erm no one!

This is a quick post to share with you my knowledge or the world of freebies!

Merry Hill Westfield are currently running an offer where if you spend £70 or more on fashion you get a free O.P.I (while stocks last ;) )

Without hesitation I accepted the challenge and brought hoodies, leggings and shirts galore! All in preparation for Uni of course :p
(I plan on a haul post soon but I've been busy packing and what not.)

So with all my shopping bags weighing the boyfriend down :p I trotted over to the kiosk, grinning I might add, to retrieve my prize!
Granted there weren't many colour left but I picked out a nice pastel pink (sparrow me the drama). It's verrry nice :) I added Models Own Juicy Jules to my ring finger for a bit of sparkle :)

So if you have saved your pennies for that new bag, or those killer heels, or even some new winter warmers, noes the time to get them, and pick up a free O.P.I polish in the process :D

Last of The Summer Sun!

What about that sun huh?!
I love love love the sun, I could happily sit in it all day crisping up! And that's just what I did on Monday :) My childhood bestie (and conveniently next door neighbour) came round and we had our beach towels at the ready.
My trampoline, once an initial buy for fun exercise, now makes a great sun lounger :D So I had my no factor Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil (or 'the cooking oil' for short) smothered on my legs in a desperate attempt to obtain some colour.
I even invested in a paddling pool to cool off :P At £10 it was a total bargain!
Also it gives me an excuse to make the most of my sunglasses obsession :) I have obtained a fair few over this year :/ Accessorize had a great sale on a few weeks ago where i brought two pairs that were each £3 :) oopsie! But I loveeee them :)
I've been pretty busy this week again sorting out odds and ends for when I move out next week but I've tried to make the most of the sunshine.
Here's my mani for this week...I thought I'd try out the florals and stripes. I used the Models Own lilac and pink again (my two favourite colours). My white nail art pen has started to get a bit gloopy so I just used an old paint brush and the Models Own white nail varnish for the stripes. For the flowers I just blobbed on the colour in a wiggly circle (sorry for my shocking descriptive skills) and then I used a darker shade nail art pen to add the details.
Hope you like :)

Busy Busy Busy!

Hi guys,
I've been a busy bee this past week :) I had my last shift at work on Sunday which was sad :( I love my Sunday people, it's just the three of us and it's always more relaxed :) They brought me flowers and a thorntons chocolate champaign bottle :) bless them!

So now I've just been preparing for the move out to uni! I've got sooo much stuff :| I think my parents are keen to get rid of me haha! I'm excited to move out but I don't think I'm going to enjoy the lack of money I will have :( no more new shoes and hand bags. Sad sad times!

Well I haven't had time to do anything spectacular with my nails this week so I thought I'd show you and old mani I did using Models Own pink and purple. I used a tooth pick to create the little dots :) I liked this mani because it's not very often I have a different pattern on each nail (it's just a bit crazzzyy for me :p) but I think the pastel colour tone it down a little :)

Anywayssss I hope you like it :)
