Daisy crazy!

Hi!

So my exams are finally over!! 🎉🎉
I just have my work placement to do and then I am free for the summer!

Things have been crazy, revising, doing work and juggling all my other commitments so hopefully now I'll be able pay a bit more attention to my blog :)

The sun is shining today which means I can finally wear some of my new summer purchases!!

Here's my outfit of the day...
I know I've got the sunglasses on in doors but I just wanted to show them off because they are so sassy! ;)

So the skirt I love! It's very nearly a skater style but it's nice and floaty and so doesn't stick out at the hips. I'm in love with daisies at the moment so the print speaks for itself, plus it goes with my accessorise necklace :) The skirt is from forever 21 (my fave shop!) and was only £12.75 which I think is a steal.
The shirt (also from forever 21) and vest (NewLook) I've had a while but I think they go together pretty well :)

Now these sunglasses! I have a weakness when it comes to sunglasses and the more interesting the better. These Jeepers Peepers from Asos I adore! They were reduced in the sale too :)

So yeah :) that's my OOTD. What prints are you looking out for this summer? Are you waiting for warmer weather to wear something you've had tucked away? Let me know :) I love reading your comments.

Vintage florals 🌸

Hi guys,

I'm half way through my end of year exam at university at the moment so I haven't had very much time to blog.
But after our second exam me and my house mates decided a trip into town was a good way to reward ourselves for making it to the half way mark :)

We found this super cute vintage shop in chester town center called lily vintage and we must have spent a good hour in there having a root around.

I found a really cute tweed blazer but oh my days it was tiny! I was gutted! It was only £10 too! But instead I found this adorable floral playsuit :D
I love the print on it and it's chunky buttons. The fit is really flattering too considering how tiny everything in the shop was.

I love it :) and at £22 I don't think that's too bad really.

I also painted my nails using my models own goodies from the 6for20 deal.

This time I used magpie and the floral sticky fingers :) I'll say it again, so impressed with these polishes! I've put at top coat over the stickers this time so hopefully they will last a bit longer.

So what do you think?
Anyone else using a bit of retail therapy to get through exam season?

Models Own Haul!

Hi guys!

I don't know if you have seen but models own have a great deal on at the minute with 6 for £20 on their polishes! And with most of them usually costing £5-£6 this means you get two free :) I couldn't pass up on a deal like that.

They also have two new collections out; sticky fingers and the speckled egg collection. So I was defiantly sold with this offer!

I purchased the sweet candy and pastel petal sticky fingers polishes, and swan, goose, dove, and magpie from the speckled egg collection. And as with all my models own orders they came super quick.

I love pastel shades and anything that's a bit different, so the speckled egg collection is right up my street. I'm loving the colours and I was surprised how well they came out, I only used two coats of the dove polish in the picture above.

The sticky fingers polishes are usually £6 and you get some cute little nail art stickers with your polish. However only certain colours come with different sticker sets, which could be a bummer if you already have the shades in your collection. But I love nail art and these looked pretty quick and easy so I though why not!

And they are really quick and simple to use BUT my slight OCD almost sent me into a melt down when I opened the sticker sheet to find that there weren't pairs of most of the stickers!! 😫 I must have spent a good 20 minutes looking at them to make sure I was wrong.

There are some exact pairs, and some similar looking pairs. If you can live with that sort of chaos then you'd love them ;)

My stickers didn't last very long but I didn't use a top coat as suggested (I was home from uni with minimal supplies) but I still really like them. They are ideal for quick and cute nail art which is what I need right now, mid exam season.

Overall I'm really happy with my little treat to myself :) once again model own have impressed me.

So what do you think? Did any of you make the most of the 6for20 deal? :)

Accessorize goodies!

Hi!

As I've already mentioned, I worked in accessorize for a few months covering maternity leave. I loved it there! The staff were lovely and hopefully if more hours come up they will have me back :)

The chain is huge on customer service which I adore! There is nothing worse than walking into a store and being greeted by staff that look entirely sick of their lives. I cant express how much I loved working there, I got to tidy bags and jewellery which for a slightly OCD sparkle fanatic is just heaven!

Needless to say I couldn't resist a few purchases while I was there 🙊 haha!

I love doubling up on necklaces now! I'd never thought to do it before but now I do it pretty much everyday. I like to combine a nice statement necklace with something a bit simpler ( ^ as on the top left of this pic ^ ).

I treated myself to a few goodies for my
holiday this year. The lace tabbard is a lush piece of beach wear, but it looks really nice over a black strappy vest with black leggings or skinnies :)
(The silky scarf goes really well with a bright yellow top I brought from river island too).

When my contract ended, I had a little spending spree just to keep me going ;) needless to say I won't need to buy any jewellery in a hurry :) I love accessorize, their products are gorgeous.

It's Been A While ...

Hi!

I have completely neglected my blog this year! Things have been so mad at university, it has just been go go go since September. I really want to get back on track with my blogging though (+ I have so many goodie to share!). So I'll give you the low down on what I've been up to before I get back into this :)

Since September I've really been enjoying University, it's much better being at Chester than last year in Nantwich. I'm part of the women's rugby, equestrian, and pole fitness societies, which take up a lot of my free time.
I've worked maternity cover in Accessorize until February (purchased plenty of goodies from there). And now I'm getting ready to sit my exams before I start my summer!

I've decided that I am going to have two blogs; one for all things girly :) nails, clothes, jewellery and what not, and the second for more personal things such as my work placements and animal related trips :)
So you'll see I've added page tabs for both of my blogs :) please follow both (if I don't bore you to death that is ;) )
Some posts might pop up on both (like this one) and some might just be added to one page. I'm new to this fiddley stuff so we will see how it goes!

I'm really going to try and keep this as updated as possible now :) but please bare with we, it is exam season so things are about to go crazy.

I have got a few posts lined up though :D including a Models Own haul, and some zoo stuff that I've been up to :)

I'll keep you posted ;)

Summer haul!

Hi guys

Hope your all having a nice summer :) making the most of the weather!

I need to start making more time for my blog, I do neglect it a lot! Mainly because I don't really go shopping that often now I'm relying on my student loan, so I have nothing really to show you....BUT I went shopping in Birmingham the other day with my mom because it was her birthday and OMG I spent wayy to much money!
Here's a snippet of what I picked up :)

I picked up a few bargains in newlook! I love these statement necklaces and I've wanted one for a while so when I saw this on sale I snapped it up. I'm really happy with these pieces :) the chunky bracelet goes great with the necklace and its ideal for evening outfits, but it's lightweight too so it's ok to wear in this weather! :)

I spent a small fortune in forever 21 (my all time favourite shop) but my favourite item from there is this dress! I'm a sucker for animal print, and I'm really into pastel shades at the minute so I was instantly drawn to this. The pattern combines everything I love, animal print, floral and pastels! I really like the high-lo style too (I've got many skirts like this, it gives you a bit more coverage but still shows a bit of leg ;) ) It's like they knew all my favourite things and combined it all into one item for a very modest £25.75!

The shoes in the picture I picked up from newlook in the sale reduced to £12!! And they are so comfy. I wore them for a night out the weekend and managed to last all night without my feet screaming at me :) very happy with them!

Sooo what do you think?
Have you picked up any summer bargains?
I have more pics to come :)

Oh one last thing! I've had a bit of a clear out and put a few things on eBay if you want to check it out :) http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/11amyjane93/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

Like Cute? Like Animals? Check this out....

Hi guys!

As you may have read I've been fundraising to go volunteer in Africa! I am hopefully still going to be going, but due to funds I may have to put it on hold for a few years, but when I do go I may be able to stay longer :)
Anyway I'm selling a load of stuff on eBay so if you like cute and animals check it out :D
I'm selling Framed Animal Posters, of some photos that I have taken myself :)

I've got lots of Animal Themed Bracelets....
if you see any you like but want to switch things around such as different beads, coloured bracelets and such, drop me an email, amydavies93@hotmail.com or comment on my facebook group "Amy's Africa Fund", and I should be able to sort it out for you :)

All the money from these sales are going towards my volunteer work, which I will keep you posted on :)
I'm also hoping to make a few arts & crafts type gifts over the summer (when I'm free from Uni work) so expect to see more from me :P

Let me know what you think :)
